What Is Teen Patti?
A practical introduction to the three-card game, its objective and the basics you need before your first round.
A game built around three cards
Teen Patti is a card game in which each player receives a three-card hand. The name is often written as 3 Patti. Understanding it involves two separate skills: recognizing a hand and following the actions available on your turn. You can learn the first skill without playing a competitive round at all.
Learn with an open-card exercise
Take a deck and deal three cards face up to each imaginary player. Identify every hand, then arrange the hands from strongest to weakest. Keep the cards visible while you discuss why one combination wins. This removes the pressure of making a decision before you understand the ranking.
Now turn the cards face down and practise the vocabulary: look, continue, pack and compare. Use practice counters with no cash value. The purpose is to understand the process, rather than to build a larger pot.
What this website covers
The beginner tutorial explains a round from setup to completion. The rules guide focuses on turn order and available actions. The hand-ranking guide supplies worked comparisons. Variations are treated separately because a rule change can alter what counts as a strong hand.
Before you start
Agree on the sequence order, tie handling, comparison permissions and limits. A familiar name does not guarantee identical rules. If an app or table uses a different version, its declared rules must be read before applying examples from a general guide.
